Thai Canned Tuna Price Is Expected to Be Increasing in August-September

Canned tuna is the main export product in Thailand. The cannery processors have announced a price hike as the cost of raw materials and production are increasing. At the moment, the buying Skipjack tuna price is at $1,400/mt. All the main production costs are pushing the price now. Same goes with the cost of aluminum can, which has increased due to the depreciation of the Thai Baht, which is near 37 per dollar. Thai cannery processors suggest buyers to plan and buy stock this month to avoid the increased price.
