Cargill - Nestle Sustainability Partnership and Indonesian Cacao

Cargill had been working with Nestle on the cocoa sustainability program, which is also called the Nestle Cocoa Plan. This program involves 15,000 farmers and first started in 2 main cocoa producer countries, Cameroon and Ivory Coast. By early 2021, the program reached out to around 2,000 Indonesian farmers. Asia is the fastest-growing cocoa and chocolate consumer in the world, whereas Indonesia plays a central role as the main cocoa producer and processor in the region.
