According to the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea), recent rains have limited the advance of the cassava harvest in most regions, reducing milling days in industries and, thus, stopping the fall in prices. In addition, the low profitability has influenced the decision making of many farmers who should return to harvest only from the end of January 2021 when prices are expected to be more favorable.
