During the past few days, the weather in the São Paulo region in Brazil has been unusual. Some days are sweltering, almost reaching 40 degrees Celsius, and with that, there are also heavy rains to decrease the heat in the environment. Because of that, slaughterhouses need to keep the attention and adjust the temperature, lighting, feed, and cleaning at the chicken’s place to keep the chicken in a good environment to slaughter. This is causing an increase in the time the chicken is ready to slaughter. The usual time is 38 days(during summer), but it would take 42 days. It seems a little different but can make a significant impact because of Brazil's volume of chicken. If the situation remains, this can impact chicken production and slaughterhouses' contracts with their customers.
