Chile forecast a slight increase in their Nectarine and Stone Fruit production for 2021.

According to the United States Department of Agriculture, it has been forecasted that the global nectarine and peaches production will suffer a downfall of 21 millions metric tonns. Due to climate condition in China and Europian Union, one of the biggest producers of this stone pit fruit.

In terms of production and exports, Chile would show a sligh increase in the upcoming season.

Exports and Imports Overview;

China: its expected a 500.000 up to 14,5 million metric tonns production downfall as a result of strong snowfall in april where the major product provinces are affected.
Chinese importation have presented a 40% growth with 38,000 tons, due to Chile shipments in season, before coronavirus outbreak.

European Union: for the EU its expected a 600,000 up to 3,5 million in tons drop, after their record from the last season, since the major producers in Spain, Italy, Greece and France have seen affected for several climate conditions. In addition to this, it is expected a decrease in exports from 24,000 mt up to 155,000 mt.
As far as Imports in the EU, there is a slight increase, since the demand can be satisfied with internal offer.

United States: In terms of Production, it has been forcasted a decrease between 26,000 up to 691,000 mt, since the Colorado orchad among others in the coast have suffer temperatures below zero degrees. As far of Imports goes, there is a drop of 33,000 mt with a reduction in shipments from Chile at the early stage of the season.

Turkey: The turkish production its been expected to keep growing for a seven year in a row, with a 40,000 up to 870,000 mt grow, due to great weather condition during flowering and harvest stages. As well as production harmony, the exports also expect growth.

Chile: expects a slight increase in production, reaching 170,000 mt, due to excelent grow conditions and balance cultivation surface.
