Chilean Commercial Trade adds up USD$ 83,126 millions in Kiwi and Citrus Exports in 2020

Following the first 8 months of the current 2020 the Chilean Comemrcial Trade added up to USD$ 83,125 millions, showing a 12% decrease in relation with the first 8 month of the previous 2019, more than 84% of the commercial fall has been explained as a decrease in the import sector, which will likely continue its fall during August with a 22% setback. On the other hand, exports during the first 8 months of this year added up to USD $45,380 millions, facing a 3,9% decrease in comparison of the same period back in 2019.

The International Economic Relations Deputy of Chile, Rodrigo Yañes, mentioned that in spite of the difficult challenges that the global trade is facing, a total of 1,389 products have increased their foreign sales in 2020 in comparison of the previous year, between the most highlighted products such hogs meat, fresh mandarines, walnuts, frozen mackerel, fresh kiwies, olive oil, seeds, mussels,sea urchin,cranberries juice, oat bran, oranges and many more representative products of each region of the country.
