China and Pakistan in cooperation to boost Pakistan's black tea production

China and Pakistan are discussing potential cooperation on the production partnership of deep processing for broken Black Tea. It will focus mainly on improving production quantity and quality through extensive usage of the internet and modern technology.

Pakistan is the third-largest importer of Black tea in the world and the fourth-largest importer for Indonesia. The transaction value between the two countries within the last 2 years was 6 million ('19) and 2 million ('20). This China-Pakistan partnership will pose a potential challenge for Indonesia to maintain its export share in the country (Pakistan).
