Chinese appetite for chicken is increasing

Poultry consumption is increasing in China at a rapid pace. China consumed 19 million tonnes in 2018. in 2019 that was 23 million tonnes and in the year 2020 that will be 25 million tonnes. Rising imports will meet a lot of that demand, but local production is also growing quickly. Some Australian suppliers have committed their export solely to China for the year 2020.
