Indian squids of Chinese origin prices experienced a decline on Dec-23 due to reduced demand from Thailand, a primary importing market. Most buyers have already secured their supply for the upcoming new season, so the demand has slowed considerably. The CFR (Cost and Freight) Thailand prices have dropped from USD 1.60 to 1.75 per kilogram (kg) in Sep-23 to USD 1.45 to 1.50/kg in Dec-23. Prices may improve in Jan-24 once buyers initiate new orders.
