As announced by China's State Council Tariff Commission, negotiated rates and provisional rate for selected imported fruits will take effect on January 1, 2021. The most notable adjustment among all is South Korean grapes, originally at 5.2% in 2020 to 3.9% in 2021. The total import volume of South Korea grape was 224 metric tons in 2019, and as to November 2020, the import volume is 250 tons. The three variety of grapes are exporting to China, Shine Muscat, Kyoho and Campbell Early, with Shine Muscat is the most popular and takes 90% of all South Korea's fresh grape exports.
The tariff of Australian Citrus' new rate will be 2.4-6.7% in 2021, the original rates are 3.7%010% in 2020. The other Australian fresh fruit exports to China remains duty free as since January 1 of 2019. The import tariff on Costa Rican Pineapples drop to 3.2% starting from January 1, 2021.
