China's Ministry of Agriculture said it found the virus strain H5N6 in wild birds in Liaoning province, marking the first confirmed cases of the strain in China this year. According to the report, there were 291 wild birds in a forest park where the outbreak occurred, 11 of which died from the disease, and the rest were sacrificed. The last report of the disease with this strain was in February last year.
