According to Lanzhou customs officials on Sept. 4, 2020, 19 tons of red Fuji apples from Pingliang city in Gansu province has successfully passed the requisite quarantine requirements for export to Australia. This is the first ever shipment of Apple from Gansu province to Australia. Gansu province is one of China's primary apple-producing region with a total production area exceeding 1.023 million acres and annual production volume of 4.9 million tons, which are the second highest production area and volume in China.
