Chinese Garlic Prices Remain Low in the UAE Due to Sluggish Demand

The Chinese garlic market in the UAE has been sluggish for more than six months, and merchants are losing money by selling garlic at low prices at USD 2.99-3.81 per 4kg bag in W40. It is caused by traders importing a high volume of garlic in April 2022 compared to 2021 due to the low rates offered by Chinese warehouses. Prices are estimated to remain stable at their present low position till February-March when the cold storage period finishes.
