During the first half of 2020, China was still the largest export market for Vietnam, accounting for around 60% of total exports. The overall export value was around 1.07 billion USD. However, currently, Vietnamese exports to China may stagnate due to China's newly implemented strict import requirements. Specifically, China requires all products to disclose the planting area and packing facility codes. Currently, Vietnam has only licensed 1,300 planting area codes and over 1,435 packing establishment codes for packing houses. Therefore, the government regularly recommends that when exporting agriculture products to the Chinese market, enterprises need to strictly comply with all regulations and requirements, which is aimed at improving product quality, meeting the agreed standards with China, and facilitating border clearance.
