Citrus sector expected to increase production by 12%

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food has reported that the new campaign for the citrus sector is expected to yield 6.93 million MT. This information is based on estimates collected and reported to the government by each autonomous region. If these estimates are correct, the volume will represent a 12% increase from last year's harvest.

Whilst producers are welcoming this increase, they are cautious, as the volume of exports has declined in the past years and the trend is expected to continue for the foreseeable future.
