The sand harvest of watermelons in the North Pacific area of Costa Rica started in W6. During W8, challenges reaching larger fruits were present due to the climatic inconsistencies in the last two weeks; low maximum solar radiation (0.43kW/m2), night temperatures between 16°C and 18°C, and low relative humidity (41%). They hinder the task of supplying fruits weighing more than 2.9 kg.
