Malaysia, since before the supply of ripened coconut, suppliers always import coconut to serve the local market, especially during festivals. This makes it still a long way for the coconut to become the main export product of the country since the demand is too high and widely used in the domestic market. Although there are several countries exporting coconut in the SEA market, Malaysian suppliers prefer coconut from Indonesia because it is cheaper and more in line with domestic demand, although the quality is lower than that of local coconut.
