According to Procolombia, a government agency, the growth occurred not only with products already being sold to South Korea, but also include the entry of new ones. That helped to diversify the Colombian exportable offer in this market.
This is how bananas, after having sporadic exports, during this year consolidated and exceeded U$D 6M in shipments so far 2020.
In the case of processed products, fruits such as frozen avocado and mango concentrate grew by 455.7%
Consolidated products, such as coffee, and to a lesser extent flowers, had growth of 21.1% and 13.7% respectively. In addition, new Colombian products, such as Shrimp (whose first exports were in 2018), with about U$D 4M exported between January and July this year, managed to grow by 79.3%.
