The government is promoting a program to increase the area planted in corn and soybean in order to gradually reduce imports. This program has managed to increase by 37% the area planted in these products with respect to 2021, which is equivalent to 47,000 hectares. In addition, the project is deploying a technological package to producers that has allowed them in the short term to increase productivity by 5.1/mt per hectare to 5.9/mt per hectare, which is a significant increase. It is expected that in 2022 they will generate business with domestic corn and soybeans for approximately 28,000/mt.
