Colombian Salmon Importers worried about unstable prices and exchange rate

Some salmon importers are concerned with the price uptrend in the international markets, stating that the number of businesses in Colombia is estimated to reduce around 20% in 2021. They noted that it is difficult to make projections with such little stability in prices. They also have expressed concerns regarding the exchange rate. During October 25, 2021 to November 25, 2021, Colombian Peso (COP) lost 5% of its value against USD. The biggest Salmon Importers are using exchange coverage tools to protect themselves.
