The Chinese Port of Mohan suspended durian imports from Thailand for three days from 12 April to 14 April, although it has been open to imports since 15 April. This is due to the discovery of a Coronavirus in container trucks from Thailand. Therefore, Thai Transportation Companies tried railway transportation. In early April, Thailand successfully tested the rail transportation system of Thai fruits to China by using the China-Laos railway and successfully exported two containers of durian and one container of coconut. Therefore, a Thailand transportation company used a cold-chain truck to transport 500/mt of durian worth USD 2.60M from eastern Thailand on 21 April, which was berthing at Nong Khai Customs for transit procedures and then shipped to China. This time, customs officials examined the manifests of 27 trucks. According to relevant regulations, lorries can only pass through the customs after arriving at a certain number, which caused people to mistakenly delay the shipment and caused durians to be held up at customs.
