Cordoba Province crop update

Corn: even though the drought has made the cereal exhibit symptoms of water and thermal stress, it is generally in a good condition. 2.5M hectares of sown surface are expected of which 62% is already implanted.

Soybean: the crop is developing in good conditions. 4.3M hectares of sown surface are expected of which 85% is already implanted.

Sorghum: the crop is going through its first phenological stages and exhibiting generally good conditions. 119K hectares of sown surface are expected of which 93% is already implanted.

Peanut: the crop is going through its first reproductive stages exhibiting good general conditions. Sowing activities have ended and the estimated sown surface is 226K hectares.

Sunflower: the southern region of the province suffered from strong winds on December 18th, thus causing severe damage to the crop in the area. Fortunately, there was no damage in the rest of the province. The estimated sown surface is 6.6K hectares.
