Brazil has exported 10,4 thousand tons of fresh grapes during the first semester of 2020, generating revenue of around USD 22,1 million (FOB), according to data of the Economy Minister. These numbers represent a decrease of 5,8% in volume and 11,5% in revenue compared to the same period of 2019.

The COVID impact for the export of grapes had the same average as the other national fruits, mainly because when the disease reached Brazil it coincided with the export window for grapes in the first semester, between the end of March and beginning of June. Added this to the commercial fly's reduction, many air routes were temporarily closed and as the air modal is the most used for fruit exporting, there was a shortage of flights to transport the grapes.

Yet Brazil has sent grapes to 66 countries between January and July 2020, and the top four destinations represent 93,3% of the total volume. United Kingdom, Netherlands, USa and Spain are the main buyer from Brazilian grapes.
