Current state of spring crops sowing in Russia

As of May 24, spring sowing in Russian Federation was carried out on an area of ​​39.8Mha, which is 77.3% of the forecasted area.

Spring grain crops were sown on an area of ​​23.2Mha (79.2% of the forecasted area). Of these, spring wheat occupies 10.1Mha (79.8% of the forecasted area), spring barley - 6.4 Mha (82.5%), corn for grain - 2.5 Mha (89.7%), rice - 142.6 Kha (74.3%). As for oilseeds, sunflower sowing was carried out on 7.7Mha (89.5% of the forecast), spring rapeseed - on 1.1Mha (87%), soybeans - on 1.5 Mha (49.7%). Sugar beet is already planted on 1 Mha which is 93.7% of the forecasted area.
