As part of the cephalopod family, cuttlefish from the UK are often overlooked because of the popularity of squid on menus. However, it is widely available in the South of England and is a popular seafood item throughout Southern Europe. Fresh cuttlefish can be easily exported from the UK and although sales were slow because of covid and the new BREXIT administration, cuttlefish sales have grown significantly this year, with delivered prices into Europe currently averaging around USD 8.71/kg.
