Starting from 24 January, power cuts will be applied for 3 days a week in industrial zones and industrial facilities outside the country. Dairy factories that operate by purchasing daily milk from the farmer will not be able to process the milk as there will be a power cut. Dairy factories will not buy milk from the producer as they cannot process milk due to a power cut. SBIR (Turkish Dairy, Meat, Food Industrialists and Producers Association) president demanded that the dairy and meat sectors be 'exempted' from energy restrictions as there is a risk of the raw materials deteriorating too quickly.

In addition to power cuts, natural gas has also been cut off for industrial use due to the cut-off on natural gas supplied from Iran. Not only food production but also other sectors will be affected as well.
