February 2023 will likely see a decline in carrot supply in Japan, resulting in higher prices. Most of the carrots produced in Japan in February come from Aichi Prefecture. However, there is a problem with the growth situation in Aichi Prefecture, and the distribution volume is likely to decrease. The reason is that many carrots have grown too big, and the demand for big carrots is not high. According to the wholesale market, the average monthly price in February will rise by about 36% compared to the monthly average in February 2022.
