Fresh Onion Prices Drop in Egypt Due to High Supply and Closed Export Permits to Saudi Arabia

In Egypt, fresh onion prices fell from USD 167.68 per ton (EGP 8,000/ton) in Apr-24 to USD 125.76/ton (EGP 6,000/ton) in Jun-24. This decrease is due to high stock levels in the market and the closure of export permits to Saudi Arabia.
