In Oct-22, a shipping company in Paracas, Peru, introduced a new shipment service near the southern grape production area. This development was welcomed positively by market players to lower logistic costs and alleviate congestion at Callao Port, which is a vital port in Peru. However, a limitation arose when it was discovered that the port of Paracas lacked adequate transport with generators to manage a large volume of reefer containers. As a result, many grape exporters from southern Peru opted to deliver their shipments from Callao instead.
