South African exports for dried grapes (55% are Thompson seedless raisins) increased from April 2020. This is partly because of increased demand from the two largest importing countries-Germany and Netherlands. An increase in home baking associated with the Coronavirus lock-down restrictions in the two countries increased local consumption.
