After several months of drought in Spain, rains have reached the stone fruit-producing areas of the Valencian Community and Murcia, where the first harvests began in May. However, rains in large volumes and hail could have an adverse effect, which is already apparent from the notable product loss in the first harvests due to the scars on fruit damaged by hail storms. As a result, a few weeks of shortages are expected during the first weeks of the campaign.
