As the export and domestic demand have been increasing for the farmed sea trout, also called Black Sea salmon, farmers in Turkey have reportedly increased their farming capacities, even some farmers have doubled their fish population in order to meet the growing demand. The Black Sea salmon is said to have replaced the consumption of imported Norwegian salmon due to the favorable price of domestically farmed trout.
