Xinjiang plum production has been good this 2022 season with high-quality products due to good sunshine and high temperatures. August and September are peak seasons for Xinjiang plums, so Chinese buyers were planning on sourcing from that region, but unfortunately, the region currently faces COVID-19 restrictions. Plum producers are worried because hotels are on lockdown, orchards can not be visited, there is traffic control, and trucks cannot leave the city, which will affect their sales.
