The Ministry of Agriculture expects to have a lower dried fig yield this season, fig-trees impacted by droughts. The production output at the end of the season is to reach 856 KMT compared to last year's 90 KMT. Turkey is a market leader in dried fig production and export with around 55% of the global production done in Turkey. The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) had earlier announced that they will be purchasing dried figs, A4 grade, at US$2.15/kg.
