The availability and quality of table grapes of European origin in the Netherlands are decreasing weekly due to season coming to an end. However, prices remain stable and at a high level. In W43, the only white seedless grapes available are Thompson from Greece and Stacey from Spain, sold between USD 11.69-12.67/5kg box (10x500g format). As for red seedless grapes, the predominant variety is Crimson, from Italy and Greece, as well as the Sweet Celebration variety from Spain. Red seedless grape prices range from USD 12.67–13.15/5 kg box (10 x 500 g). Despite good prices and demand, the grape quality is decreasing, especially due to the lack of colour in red grapes and the lack of freshness in white grapes, so there is a high level of rejections at the supermarket level. Since it is end-of-season fruit, the grapes also have a shorter shelf life, which affects the quality the final customer receives. Therefore, it is estimated that the transition to imported fruit will occur within one to two weeks, with grapes first from Brazil followed by Peru.
