Greek apricot season starts in a few days with the early variety Tyrinthos. A big fruit, oval shape shaped variety. Then end of May the orange flesh expects to come in big volumes and of good quality. Growers claim increased kick-off prices at least by 35% to cover high cultivation expenses. The biggest trend is expected to be the tyrves variety and the newly introduced varieties in the Greek orchards, orange ruby and farbaly.
