Ecuador's Hass Avocados far from competing against Mexicans

A developing Ecuadorian Hass Avocado Industry encounters difficulties competing in the Western European destinations. A kilogram of Mexican avocado is delivered to this region for approximately $1,20 in CIF conditions, whereas Ecuador's avocado price stands at $3,20 with the same conditions. This vast difference in price occurs due to Ecuador's limited capacity in supplying big quantities of the product and limitations in shipping, causing these to be transported via air freight only.
