The bulk tea market situation, with declining prices and increasing costs, is likely to improve. The 2021's bulk tea prices have weakened as production has witnessed recovery from 2020, which has eased supply chain issues and market situation. Apart from declining prices, the cost of production out of North India has increased substantially this year due to a sharp rise in wage rates and energy costs. On the other hand, the South India tea production during the first nine months of 2021 was higher than in 2020.
