The South African yellow maize planting area for 2023 estimates a total planned planting area of 1,089,000 hectares, compared to the 2022 estimate of 1,048,000 hectares. The yellow corn planting area estimate was adjusted upwards by 3.91% compared to the estimate for 2022.
