Ethiopia Issued Notice for Oilseed and Pulse Exports on November 21, 2022

The Regulation of the Ethiopian Council of Ministers on the Marketing of Sesame and White Beans stipulates that pulses and oilseeds should be entirely exported within their production period. As a result, any exporter who has purchased sesame and white beans from the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange or grown them through investment farming for the 2021/22 season must follow one of the following stocking volume options: Firstly, exporters that have export contracts with products in stock but have not shipped the product shall export the product within 15 days of the announcement, which was made on November 21, 2022. Secondly, exporters who have not signed an export contract with products in stock are urged to sign an export contract and export the product by December 9, 2022.
