The Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority announced that more than USD 30M in income will be generated by supplying 14,000MT of spices in the 2022/23 fiscal year. The announcement was made public after the spice farm visits in the Gonder area of northern Ethiopia. Additionally, it has been stated that in order to increase the production of spices in Ethiopia, a system has been developed to prevent diseases that attack the spice plantations. A sustainable marketing chain will also be fixed for farmers to benefit from their hard work.
