Few kiwis are natively grown in Japan. There is very little production, and it only meets 1% of the overall demand. Local kiwi never seems to taste good, and some of the customer's request Japanese goods when making purchases. These people are purchasing them because of the "excessive/overly high confidence" that Japanese people have in their fruits and vegetables. Production of domestic kiwis has increased by 15% over the past ten years and will keep growing.
