Excessive rains in week 28 still affecting the plantain supply chain

Plantain availability in the Caribbean regions of Costa Rica drops down by 40% as a consequence of the heavy increase in rainfall in week 28. Suppliers are struggling to comply with current contracts but they are not in a position to negotiate with new buyers.
