According to the National Supply Company (CONAB), the oats harvest was expected to reach 1 million tonnes this 19/20 season. After revising the figures, it is now closer to 0.84 million tonnes, down 15.8%. The weather was the main cause of the losses, mainly in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul, which registered unusual frosts and strong winds, causing crop lodging in certain areas.
