Export of fresh coconut from Vietnam to Thailand increased sharply

Vietnam fresh coconut exported to Thailand this year increased strongly, and as a result, Vietnam continues to be the largest exporter of fresh coconuts to Thailand. Vietnamese fresh coconut imported into Thailand in the first 8 months of 2020 increased to 377.7% in volume and 781.3% in value over the same period in 2019. With such a very strong growth, fresh Vietnamese coconut accounts for 61.4% of the total fresh coconut imported into Thailand, which is much higher than 51.3% in the first 8 months of 2019. Thailand is the food processing center of Southeast Asia. This country increased the import of coconuts due to the need for the diversity of raw materials for processing, so the fresh coconut from Vietnam and Indonesia imported into Thailand both increased strongly.
