Brazil exported 2,124 thousand tons of eggs and egg products, generating revenue of USD 4,641 million in November. Between January and November 2020 Brazil has shipped 12,990 thousand tons abroad, a reduction of 36.7% in relation to the same period in 2019. Revenue in the year was USD 42,693 million, registering a decrease, in the order of 35% compared to last year. Special fertile eggs for hatching and fresh eggs in shell represent 82.3% of the volume shipped and almost 87% of the revenue. However, both have a reduction of 37.6% and 41.7% in volume and 37.7% and 45.2% in revenue, respectively. According to preliminary information provided by the Ministry of Economy, the volume of eggs shipped up to the third week has already exceeded the total shipped in December last year. Even so, it will be insufficient to mitigate serious losses throughout the year.
