Non-GMO Soybean Prices in Ghana up by 10% In September Due to Increased Demand

Farm gate prices of non-GMO soybeans in Northern Ghana increased by almost 10% during September 2022. Non-GMO soybeans were trading around USD 50.00/100kg in W39 compared to USD 46.00/100kg at the start of September. This is due to increased demand for the crop from local processors for industrial use. Farm gate prices are however anticipated to fall when the main soybean harvest season commences in November.
