Farm Gate Shrimp Price Relatively Stagnant

Farm-gate shrimp prices for the second week of February in most areas in Indonesia are relatively stagnant. The condition is probably due to the shrimp export demand not increasing significantly yet. From the shrimp farm production sector, the AHPND (Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Disease), which became the major problem for the shrimp farming industry a couple of years ago, seems to be getting better. However, we still can see a spike in the graph of AHPND’s outbreak in some areas; it doesn’t affect the shrimp supply to the processing plant.
