For instance, the retail price of pangasius has decreased from USD 3.30 to 3.51/kg (VND 80,000 to 85,000/kg) to USD 3.10/kg (VND 75,000/kg), while shark catfish in W49 sells at USD 3.72/kg (VND 90,000/kg), a decrease from USD 4.54/kg (VND 110,000/kg). Similarly, the price of the big snakehead has dropped from USD 2.48 to 2.68/kg (VND 60,000 to 65,000/kg) to USD 2.27/kg (VND 55,000/kg). This decrease is attributed to the increased variety available in the market, including natural types, providing consumers with more choices.
