First batches of sweet cherry from Tajikistan are on sale

Due to the abnormally warm weather in Tajikistan in February, stone fruit flowering was very early this year. The first harvests of sweet cherries have already appeared in local markets and supermarkets, and the first export shipments to Russia are also being prepared.
Wholesale prices for a new crop of sweet cherry from Dushanbe supplier range from TJS 26 to 33 per kg ( $ 2.3-2.9 per kg), and retail prices from TJS 50 to 62 per kg ( $ 4.4-5.5 per kg), which is approximately equal to the level of prices last year.
